“I was hungry and you gave me food.”

Matthew 25:35

Compassion Food Bank is an independent food bank which aims to alleviate suffering as a result of food poverty.

We provide free emergency food parcels to people in need. Our food parcels are nutritious and provide enough food for the provision of meals for three days. They include non-perishable ambient foods, fruit and vegetables and frozen and dairy foods.

We offer culturally sensitive food parcels where requested.

How it works

Self-Referral

Clients can self-refer by dropping into Compassion Food Bank for an assessment. Clients must show some ID when collecting a food parcel.

Agency Referral

Clients can be referred by an agency who complete a referral form.

Food Donations

Are made to Compassion Food Bank by members of the local community, churches, local businesses and organisations. Food can either be delivered to the Food Bank during its opening hours or we can pick up food if requested.

Financial Donations

Financial donations are used to purchase food from our shopping list and it is used to focus on those items that we are running low on.
